Answers

Class 1 questions parents ask

Is there a scholarship exam for Class 1 students in India?

Yes. The ANOQR Scholarship Exam is open to Class 1 students of every board — CBSE, ICSE, every State Board, IB, Cambridge and NIOS — in all states. It is taken online at home, in one hour, any day in the month's window.

What is asked in the Class 1 paper?

Class 1 is in the Standards 1–2 band. There are three sections: general knowledge (15 minutes), life skills (15 minutes) and English (30 minutes), including tap to choose a picture-simple answer, listen and pick the word you heard, build a sentence from word tiles, read one short sentence aloud.

Do Class 1 students compete with older students?

No. Every class has its own merit list, so a Class 1 student is ranked only against other Class 1 students. Winners need the top score in their class and at least 60% overall.

What does a Class 1 winner receive, and what does it cost?

The fee is ₹100. Winners receive ₹1,000 on the 5th of every month for 12 months, a memento, a verifiable certificate and LangVR courses worth ₹1,00,000. Every participant gets courses worth ₹25,000 free.
