Alarms

Alarms ring while 12·24 Clock is open, even in a background tab. On a phone, use Bedside mode overnight so the screen stays on — a phone asleep with the app closed cannot ring a web alarm.

Install & widgets

How to keep the clock on your home screen or desktop.

Settings and alarms stay on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Install & widgets

Android

  1. Tap Install at the top (or Chrome’s ⋮ menu → Install app).
  2. Open 12·24 Clock from your home screen and tap Floating widget — a small clock stays on top of your home screen and other apps. Close it with its ✕.
  3. Long-press the app icon for shortcuts: Set an alarm, Floating clock, Bedside mode.

iPhone & iPad

  1. In Safari, tap ShareAdd to Home Screen.
  2. Open it from the home screen for a full-screen clock. Bedside mode keeps the screen on overnight.

Windows, Mac, ChromeOS, Linux

  1. Click Install at the top (or the install icon in Chrome or Edge’s address bar).
  2. The app opens as a small widget window in the top-right corner of your screen. Drag it anywhere; resize it for the full clock.
  3. Floating widget keeps a mini clock above every other window.
  4. To have it on screen every time you start the computer: open chrome://apps (or edge://apps), right-click 12·24 Clock → Start app when you sign in.
  5. Windows 11 with Microsoft Edge: after installing, press Win+W+ → add the 12·24 Clock widget. It refreshes each time you open the board.

12-hour and 24-hour time, side by side

12·24 Clock shows the time on your device in the format your system uses, and right beside it the other one — so 7:30 PM and 19:30 are always both in view. Switch between a digital clock, an analog dial or both. The analog 24-hour dial turns once a day, with midnight at the top and noon at the bottom.

Set an alarm in whichever format you think in: type 6:45 AM or 06:45, and the other form is shown as you type. Alarms can repeat on chosen days and snooze for five minutes.

How to convert

From 12-hour to 24-hour: for 1 PM to 11 PM add 12 to the hour (3:15 PM → 15:15). 12 AM becomes 00, and 12 PM stays 12. From 24-hour to 12-hour: for 13 to 23 subtract 12 and add PM (21:40 → 9:40 PM); 00 is 12 AM.

Install it as an app

12·24 Clock installs like an app on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and ChromeOS, and works offline once installed. On a computer it opens as a small widget window; on a phone the floating widget keeps a mini clock over your home screen.
